DESCRIPTION:

The new aircraft and helicopter hangar will have the capacity to simultaneously undertake first grade maintenance to 5 aircraft and 3 helicopters. With an internal column-free span of 100m, the steel structure is made up of four 10,000sqm. modules. Externally the structural columns and inclined walls, which house the technical service spaces, are clad in natural stone.The long elevation facing the approach road is clad in opaque and transparent glass panels in aluminium framing. The large sliding doors on the airside elevation are composed of translucent panels to allow maximum daylight inside.
